Pot luck, followed by dancing with calling by Lisa Sieverts, music by Harvey Tolman, Gordon Peery, and probably a plethora of other musicians. At some point the dancing stops and people migrate to Center Pond for fireworks.

These beautiful autumn days sure make us think of delicious apples, don’t they? Well, the friendly folk of the Chapel-By-The-Lake want to help you savor the taste of autumn at the annual Apple Fest to be held on Saturday, October 8th, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The Apple Fest offers all the best of the season: home-made pies, donuts, cakes, cookies, fudge – and of course, freshly-pressed apple cider!

The Apple Fest will take place under the tent on the grounds of the Chapel-By-The-Lake on Granite Lake Road, rain or shine. But don’t wait until the last minute to come and visit! Every delicious apple concoction may just be sold out if you are late.

At this month’s Pot Luck we invited everyone in the community to come and brainstorm ideas for a Halloween party for all of the kids! Also, we hope to hear a quick update from the Town Buildings Committee.

We all come together at 6:30 pm in the Henry Melville Fellowship Hall of the Nelson Congregational Church.

Come join us – in your best Halloween costume, of course – at The Great Harvest Supper this evening at 5:00 p.m. Where? At the Nelson Congregational Church!

On the menu this season will be home-made chicken pot pie, locally-grown squash, salad, warm and melty biscuits, spicy gingerbread, and a beverage.

The cost for this event is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 10.

Join us Saturday morning, September 24th, at the Chapel By The Lake for a delicious Pancake & Waffle Breakfast!

Hot pancakes and waffles will be served with sweet maple syrup, accompanied by sausage, fresh fruits, juice and coffee.

The breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m.
The cost is $6.00 per plate with children ages 10 and younger for just $3.00.
