The Selectmen, therefore, thought it prudent to get further expert opinion and contacted the Local Government Center. An inspection was conducted and the results are contained in the following letter to the Nelson Board of Selectmen and are hereby posted for your information. (click to see this document)

The selectmen have decided that the benefits of obtaining this information by this means are not worth the expense, so this practices is discontinued effective this year. Remember that your dogs must still be registered during April, and also if you are planning any changes to your property, specifically to buildings or significant land clearing, be sure to check in at the Town Office  to determine what if any permits are required.
