1. Gates Grant computers and software: You can absolutely purchase more computers than allocated by the Gates Foundation.  Maintenance, i.e. setup, for the life of the computers is also an acceptable purchase.

Microsoft Donation Program at TechSoup Stock.

Microsoft requires that customers’ orders contain a minimum of 5 “Seats.”  It might be useful to think of a “Seat” as 1 computer workstation. Each license for each piece of software counts as 1 Seat. You may fulfill the 5 Seat requirement by ordering at least 5 copies of one license, or by combining smaller quantities of 2 or more license types.

For instance, each of these combinations meets the 5 Seat minimum:

* 5 licenses for Microsoft Word

* 1 license for Microsoft Word, 2 licenses for Front Page, and 2 licenses for Encarta.

While 5 is the minimum number of licenses in an order, each qualifying organization may place only 1 order for Microsoft products through TechSoup Stock every year, with a cumulative limit of 6 titles with up to 50 licenses each over a 2-year period.

Please note that:

* A year is defined as a year from the date of your purchase.

* The “1 order” can contain up to 6 software titles and up to 50 licenses per title.
