Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Nelson Zoning Board of Adjustment will hear and decide applications for variances or for nonconforming use pursuant to the procedures and standards set forth in the Nelson zoning ordinance. They also hear any appeals from any order, requirement, decision, determination or interpretation made by any other official in the administration or the enforcement of the zoning ordinance.

Zoning Regulations

The ZBA meets on the first Tuesday of the month when there is an application or hearing to be considered. The meeting place varies as to whether there will be a public hearing or not. Please call the Town Office at 603-847-0047 during town office business hours if you are planning to attend a meeting to confirm the time and place, and to indicate if you have a matter to be put on the agenda.

Heidi Bobeen has been hired as the Clerk  for the Planning Board and Zoning Board.  Ms. Bobeen comes to us with vast knowledge and experience working with towns.  Ms. Bobeen will be available at the Town Office Wednesday nights when the town office is open.  She will be there from 6:30 PM until 7:00 PM to answer your questions.
